Wonder Woman Review

Warning: Mild spoilers, but not too many. 😉

Picture this, a female superhero as strong as Superman; promotes female empowerment; being the role model for countless girls all around the world. Just like Superman for boys, who do you have in mind? No doubt, Wonder Woman is on your mind right?

For quite sometimes, DC had been questionable with the Live Action adaptions for the awesome superheroes. *cough* Dark Days of Batman *cough* however, during 2016 they tried to redeem themselves with Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, and… that had some mix reviews. The only best part of the whole movie would be, Wonder Woman. She kick ass in the movie. Now, 2017 she has her own movie; it was awesome AF.

The movie for Wonder Woman was on par with DC’s animated movies, it had a fair share of action and witty jokes. How Wonder Woman was depicted on the big screen, it was well did and amazing. What stood out the most from the movie would be The Lasso of Truth scene, to some people they would beg to differ on the best scene would be the fight between Ares. Everyone has different taste and opinion.

The reason for Lasso of Truth being a one of a kind scene, this weapon was not really known to surface fans of Wonder Woman. In DC’s animated universe, the Lasso was not really used by Wonder Woman. *Wink* Justice League Animated Series *Wonk* the times the Lasso was used would be in Justice League VS Teen Titans movie and the 2009 animated movie for Wonder Woman. Lasso of Truth, a weaponry from Wonder Woman’s arsenal of weapons. The Lasso had the ability for the person bounded by it to tell the whole truth about themselves. Which in the real world, our world would be a pain in the ass.

I’ll just stop here, wouldn’t want to spoil the whole movie for y’all, I’m not that kind of person.

On the scale of 1 to 10, how would I rate Wonder Woman to convince you all to watch the movie? I’d say, 100000000000000000. Just go watch the movie. It’s AWESOME!

I had a blast watching Wonder Woman, Gal is just so fabulous. I can’t wait for her in Justice League this November. The Harry Potter Alumni all went to DC, the first was Sirius, he became Commissioner Gordon for The Dark Knight trilogy from Christopher Nolan. Next is Draco, he stop being a pure blood and decided to be a muggle for The Flash TV series from CW. Lastly, Lupin had joined the party. I was able to recognize him immediately, I guess my Harry Potter fandom genes are not dead yet.  I wonder who would be be the next in line to hop over to the muggle world? I might be going to watch Wonder Woman a second time. I am demanding a Black Canary appearance for the next Justice League Movie.

Beauty and The Beast (2017) Review

It’s MAY! And, this is the first review of the month! YAYYYYYYYY!!!!! I haven’t been doing any review lately except for the review for Teen Titans: The Judas Contract, yea….It’s my current favorite at the moment. Anywho, I finally watched the over hyped movie Beauty and The Beast (2017) last weekend. I got free movie tickets from my work place.

I grew up with the original Beauty and The Beast from Disney, it was my 2nd favorite first being Mulan. (HA! Asian priorities. The animated movie from 1991 is already good enough for a girl growing up with Disney. The songs are always my favorite, my no.1 would always be ‘Be Our Guest’ not everyday you would see a talking candle stick singing about hospitality. It’s always amusing to hear that song. The animated version would always be the best in my heart.

Now, 2017 a lot of crazy stuff are happening and it’s not going to be pleasant on my feeling. I lost my grandpa a few weeks ago and I am coping with the loss while I just want to forget about the pain my ‘friends’ gave me from college. My internship actually helped, It’s hard that you have to hold your anger when they are around. Moving on, Beauty and the beast was amazing both cinematography and the story line. Most of the plot holes from 1991 were answered except that they changed the story line a little. I really enjoy the focus on the enchantress herself, she wasn’t really explained in the 1991 version.

There are two generations of girls that knew Emma Watson, the first gen would be the Harry Potter generation me and the current generation, the beauty and the beast generation. To be honest, it is hard for me to unsee Emma as Hermione when she started talking in the movie. She did a great job as Belle although her dress was a bit underwhelmed for me. As for the beast, no words could I describe him; although it’s a turn off for me when I saw his tail. IT. IS. NOT. FLOOFY. ENOUGH!!!!

All in all, Beauty and The Beast is perfection! I would rewatch it again and again. 😀
